If you’re seeking a teacher training experience that combines academic excellence with a rich, vibrant atmosphere, Dublin is your perfect match. As Ireland’s capital, Dublin blends centuries of literary legacy with a fast-paced, modern edge, creating a city that’s as stimulating as it is welcoming.
This is a place where every day is a new learning opportunity. Whether you’re walking in the footsteps of writers like James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, engaging in hands-on workshops with passionate educators, or simply enjoying the friendly conversations in a local café, Dublin offers an English-learning environment that’s immersive and alive.
Beyond the classroom, the city pulses with creativity, street musicians in Temple Bar, performances at the Abbey Theatre, and art-filled alleyways all offer endless inspiration. And when you need a breath of fresh air, serene green spaces like St. Stephen’s Green and the nearby coastline provide perfect spots to reflect, recharge, and connect with fellow teachers from around the world.
But perhaps Dublin’s greatest asset is its people: warm, witty, and always up for a chat. You’ll feel part of a community from day one, making it easy to grow both professionally and personally.
Study, connect, and be inspired! All in a city that’s made for educators who want more than just a course.
In this course, we will focus on some of the fundamentals of pedagogy, namely Lesson Planning, Material Development, and Classroom Management. With Lesson Planning we will focus on considering the learners and their needs and context, with an emphasis on using the CEFR. In terms of materials development, we will look at how we can design and create appropriate material to achieve lesson and stage aims in a variety of contexts. Finally, Classroom Management will look at key considerations and actions for a variety of settings. This course is suitable for teachers at different levels of experience and competency, whether they are novice or expert, there will be something here to benefit them.
10 lessons course + afternoon programme per week
The aim of this course is to engage with the participant at their own level of competency and encourage them to reflect upon their practice in these three areas with a view to sustainable upskilling.
