This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and equip them with the knowledge and skills to promote sustainable practices in their personal lives, workplaces, and communities. In today’s world, sustainability has emerged as a critical global concern, requiring individuals and organizations to take proactive steps towards a more sustainable and resilient future. Increasing population, global warming and the current global health crisis are catalytic factors causing collateral damage to our environment and accelerating the negative effects of climate change. Research shows that the world needs to cut its emissions at least by half by 2030 and reach net zero by mid–century to prevent the worst effects of climate change. Forging a sustainable future demands an appreciation of what’s at stake and how to protect it.

Course Objectives:

• Strengthen the abilities and skills to work with the values and principles of sustainability and Internalize the ethical framework for sustainable development that is articulated in the Earth Charter.
• Deepen and expand knowledge about new paradigms of education associated with education for sustainability, sustainable lifestyles, education for global citizenship and transformative education.
• Explore methodological and transforming pedagogical tools that can be used in educational programmes

The teachers and educational staff become amongst the most able, creative and authoritative within their profession. Training Courses are a hallmark of excellence and outstanding professionalism. All the teacher trainers are highly qualified in their field and have many years of experience as teachers and teacher trainers. The school has been running training courses for the past 20 years.
