Galway is more than just a city, it’s a cultural heartbeat on Ireland’s west coast, where creativity, nature, and tradition come together to create an unforgettable learning environment.

From the moment you arrive, Galway welcomes you with its colourful streets, live music echoing from every corner, and an energy that’s both relaxed and full of life. It’s a place where learning goes beyond the classroom: into traditional music sessions in historic pubs, and into everyday moments filled with authenticity.

Whether you’re walking along the scenic Salthill Promenade, discovering medieval sites like the Spanish Arch, or exploring the dramatic landscapes of Connemara just outside the city, Galway offers the perfect backdrop to develop your teaching skills in English while being surrounded by Irish warmth and charm.

Our training programs in Galway are designed not just to teach, but to inspire. You’ll connect with fellow educators from around the world, exchange best practices, and return home with new ideas, renewed motivation, and memories rooted in one of Ireland’s most soulful cities.

Course

dsfsd

This course provides a valuable opportunity to refresh English language skills through the medium of culture based lessons. Participants will also gain confidence from using their English skills to take part in international group classes. The course also helps to build inter-cultural awareness by encouraging participants to compare their own country’s’ culture and traditions with those of Ireland.
CLIL for Primary Teachers aims to introduce Primary Teachers to the principles of teaching English in a natural environment where the focus is not on language structure or grammar but on language use in different real-life contexts. This course will show teachers of primary students how to adapt CLIL methodology to their everyday teaching of different subjects. It will focus on practical activities which show how to blend content-driven lessons with language learning. The course helps participants to have the confidence to implement the principles of CLIL into their teaching practice, while sharing experiences with fellow primary teachers.

25-hour course runs for 5 days, consisting of seminars, workshops and cultural activity hours.

The course objectives:

  • To provide an overview of the principles of CLIL teaching and your role in it as a teacher.
  • To address the difficulties of implementing CLIL in your given teaching context.
  • To analyse a teaching methodology which will allow you to integrate subject and language learning.
  • To provide guidance on how to select subject material and tasks to work on in your lessons.
