Porto isn’t just a city you visit, it’s a place you feel. Set along the banks of the Douro River, this northern Portuguese gem is full of character, charm, and quiet energy, making it the perfect backdrop for your learning journey.
Here, past and present live side by side. You’ll study in a city where baroque churches meet bold street art, and traditional riverside taverns sit steps away from trendy design cafés. Whether you’re exploring the narrow alleyways of the historic Ribeira district or taking in the views from Dom Luís I Bridge, Porto surrounds you with inspiration at every turn.
This course takes place right in the heart of it all, in a setting that encourages both academic focus and personal discovery. After class, enjoy a glass of world-famous Port wine, stroll along the Atlantic coast, or soak in the warmth of a city that welcomes you like a local.
Portugal’s maritime legacy may have shaped its history, but Porto’s spirit is what will shape your experience: grounded, generous, and quietly unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a destination that nurtures both your professional and personal growth, Porto is calling.
Innovation starts in the sandbox. This Erasmus+ course
offers a “Mini–Innovator” approach to STEM, designed
specifically for Kindergarten and early Primary educators.
We move away from high–screen environments toward a
“Low–Screen/No–Screen” methodology that emphasizes
logical thinking, scientific discovery, and physical play.
Participants will learn how to introduce complex
concepts like coding and engineering through tactile,
age–appropriate activities. By tapping into the natural
curiosity of young children, this course empowers
teachers to build the foundations of future–ready skills in
a playful, inclusive and natural way.
Course Objectives:
–Introduce the “Mini-Innovator” pedagogical
framework for early STEM;
– Apply screen-free coding activities (unplugged logic)
to Kindergarten classrooms;
– Master the use of age-appropriate robotics (e.g., Bee-
Bot, Cubetto) for early engineering;
– Promote inclusion and gender equality in STEM from
the earliest ages;
– Improve technical and English language skills in a
creative environment;
– Share and adapt innovative teaching practices with
other early childhood specialists;
– Identify and share low-cost STEM materials that can
be implemented at a local level;
– Enhance communicative competencies in English and
social skills;
– Facilitate experience exchange with colleagues from
across Europe.
