Unlike other regular teaching methodology courses, this course emphasizes designing and implementing instructional methods which are more accessible and inclusive regardless of the learner’s language proficiency, background knowledge and ability level. By exploring a variety of tools for representation(how students takein information); action (how teachers provide Input) and expression (how students produce output); this course provides teachers with
strategies to make every aspect of their teaching more equitable and engaging.
This course is suitable for Secondary and Vocational Teachers.

25 hours course runs for 5 days, consisting of seminars,workshop and cultural activity hours.

The course objectives:

  • Benefits of UDL framework and principles.
  • How UDL can tackle barriers to learning in traditional learning classrooms.
  • Strategies for providing multiple means of representation, action and expression that accommodates diverse learners needs, preferences and abilities.
  • Flexible assessment options based on UDL approach.
  • Reflect on current teaching practices and identifying gaps in practicing UDL.
  • Build a portfolio of different UDL resources.
