Galway

Galway is more than just a city, it’s a cultural heartbeat on Ireland’s west coast, where creativity, nature, and tradition come together to create an unforgettable learning environment.

From the moment you arrive, Galway welcomes you with its colourful streets, live music echoing from every corner, and an energy that’s both relaxed and full of life. It’s a place where learning goes beyond the classroom: into traditional music sessions in historic pubs, and into everyday moments filled with authenticity.

Whether you’re walking along the scenic Salthill Promenade, discovering medieval sites like the Spanish Arch, or exploring the dramatic landscapes of Connemara just outside the city, Galway offers the perfect backdrop to develop your teaching skills in English while being surrounded by Irish warmth and charm.

Our training programs in Galway are designed not just to teach, but to inspire. You’ll connect with fellow educators from around the world, exchange best practices, and return home with new ideas, renewed motivation, and memories rooted in one of Ireland’s most soulful cities.

Course

This course offers a professional development opportunity designed to introduce participants to new teaching approaches that can increase learner engagement and promote inclusivity. Through project-based activities and workshops, participants will acquire valuable tips and insights, and also benefit from the knowledge and skills shared by fellow participants. The opportunity to experience new cultural contexts and network with international colleagues is a further positive outcome.

This course is designed for teachers looking for new approaches to engaging all learners and creating inclusivity in their classrooms. Theories of ‘Social and Emotional Learning’ and ‘Universal Design Learning’ offer exciting new ways to tackle the challenge of engaging diverse learners. This course explores how teachers can adapt these approaches to create collaborative, creative and inclusive classrooms. In particular, participants will explore the latest language teaching methodologies, observe those techniques and strategies at work in our language lessons, analyse their own teaching practices, and develop materials, tools and techniques that they can implement directly into their own teaching.
